128 GB SSD + 2 TB HDD

MV-VT2000-128G40-2T

Vision Box

Operator stations for vision inspection need a readable interface, suitable machine connections and enough storage for software and production data. MV-VT2000 combines a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with an Intel Celeron J6412 processor, 8 GB memory and four GigE connections. The installed software, logging, retained images and maintenance requirements determine the suitable storage configuration.

Keep inspection controls and production information at the machine

An operator panel for vision inspection must remain readable, responsive and connected while the production process is running. Storage selection affects how much software, logging and retained image data can remain locally available before maintenance or transfer is required.

Selection question

Select storage from measured data retention

Both variants use the same 10.1-inch display, J6412 processor, 8 GB memory and interface configuration. The purchasing decision is whether the 128 GB SSD is sufficient or whether the application also needs a 2 TB HDD.

Include software and operating reserve

Estimate capacity from the operating system, inspection application, configuration backups, logs and retained images. Measure daily growth during a representative run and define when data is deleted or transferred. Keep enough free space for updates and fault diagnosis.

128 GB SSD

Choose the SSD-only model when the installed software and locally retained data fit within the accepted capacity limit. Confirm this after installation because formatted and usable capacity differs from the nominal value.

128 GB SSD plus 2 TB HDD

Choose the additional HDD when more local capacity is required for logs, images or other production data. Define backup, deletion and replacement procedures according to the application’s retention needs.

Display, touch, interface, power and environmental characteristics are shared family specifications rather than storage selectors.

Validate operation from the installed position

Acceptance should use the final enclosure, cabling, software and production workload.

  • Check readability, viewing angle and touch response from every intended operator position.
  • Test camera, USB, serial and digital I/O communication during the production cycle.
  • Record processor and memory load, interface interruptions, storage growth and panel temperature.
  • Restart the complete system and confirm automatic recovery of the inspection application and connected devices.

Inputs for the business case

Compare complete operator-station configurations using measured process requirements.

  • Software footprint, daily data growth, retention period and backup frequency.
  • Panel PC, mounting, enclosure, cabling, I/O hardware and integration costs.
  • Commissioning, operator training, data maintenance, replacement and downtime.

MV-VT2000 specification questions

What is the difference between the two MV-VT2000 models?

MV-VT2000-128G40-NN has a 128 GB SSD. MV-VT2000-128G40-2T combines the 128 GB SSD with a 2 TB HDD. The documented display, processor, memory and interfaces are otherwise the same.

What display is used?

The family is documented with a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display, 1280 × 800 resolution, typical brightness of 350 cd/m² and an 800:1 contrast ratio.

What type of touchscreen is fitted?

The documented touchscreen is capacitive and supports ten touch points under Windows. The documented transmittance is at least 85% and the surface hardness is 6 H.

Which machine interfaces are available?

The documented interfaces include four GigE connections, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 connections, two RS-232 ports switchable to RS-485 and RS-422, and up to seven optically isolated digital inputs and outputs.

What power supply is required?

The documented supply is 24 VDC and the typical power consumption is 30 W. Size the machine supply using the complete installed system and its startup conditions.

How should storage be accepted?

Install the final operating system and inspection software, then measure data growth during a representative production run. Include logs, retained images, backups, updates and free-space reserve in the acceptance limit.
