A ring gives even front light. A bar shows texture. Coaxial is for a shiny flat. Open the product to set size and colour.

Light from all sides around the lens. The camera looks through the opening, so it casts no shadow and a code stays readable whichever way it sits. Set angle and colour when the surface needs it.

A shadowless ring with a diffuser. Light falls wide and even, so print, dirt and characters do not sit in their own shadow. White, up to 300 mm. The usual pick when you want an even image.

A small field, close to the product. A guided outlet concentrates the light. Pair with a telecentric lens for marks and details that a ring would wash out.

Geometry first, then size and colour
Geometry sets contrast. A controller then sets intensity, continuous or strobe, and ties the flash to the camera trigger.
