SC1000 / SC2000: start with the quick-start guide

Unbox, connect, get a live image, then build a short tool chain. Here is where the evergreen docs live — and what they cover.

Why this post is short on purpose

Setup guides should not rot inside a blog post. The evergreen SC1000 / SC2000 quick start lives under Knowledge → Docs. This article is the map.

What the quick start covers

Power and network (PoE or 24 V, fixed IP, discovery). Opening SCMVS and verifying a live image before you add tools. A first short chain: locate → measure or locate → presence. Defining trigger, ready and result bits early. Knowing when the job has outgrown a smart camera.

Software depth

For a full walkthrough of the smart-camera software, use the SCMVS manual. For PC-side application building across cameras and controllers, Hikrobot documents VisionMaster with GUI, SDK and operator design modes.

When to escalate

Multiple cameras sharing logic, heavy deep learning, complex multi-station sequencing or high data volume usually mean PC-based vision. That fork is explained on Smart vs PC. Product entry: Cameras and the broader Hikrobot portfolio.
