Smart Code Reader
Selection question
No-reads lead to rescans, reject handling and interruptions in traceability. The suitable reader depends on code size and quality, field of view, working distance, movement, surface reflections and the required result time.
Start with the required resolution and reader platform. Then choose the exact optical and illumination configuration. Focal length, focus method, lens mount, frame rate, interface and I/O remain in the specification table for each SKU.
Four pixel dimensions are available. Calculate the smallest code element in pixels at the full required field of view and retain margin for position and focus variation.
The six platforms separate sensor, housing, optical architecture and I/O implementation. Use the selected SKU specifications for the exact physical and electrical details.
Codes such as 06M, 16L and 25M are exact Hikrobot configuration codes. The linked focal length, lens mount and focus method depend on the platform and must be checked in the selected SKU table.
WBN and RBN are exact supplied configuration codes. Their practical illumination arrangement varies by platform. Confirm code contrast and reflections with the actual surface and mounting angle.
The selector contains only the 25 live SKUs. It does not generate unavailable combinations. Six variants currently have no verified exact product media.
Set measurable acceptance criteria and use representative production samples before ordering the final configuration.
Use measured process data. Nominal reader specifications do not establish throughput or payback.

Calculate how many pixels cover the smallest code element at the full required field of view. Confirm the result with real codes and include margin for focus, position, print quality and motion variation.
They are exact Hikrobot configuration codes. Their focal length, lens mount and focus method are platform-dependent. Check those fields in the specifications of the selected SKU.
They identify different supplied illumination configurations. The detailed arrangement varies by reader platform, so use the selected SKU’s light-source specification and validate it on the actual code surface.
The live range uses Fast Ethernet, while textual differences in imported interface labels describe the same 100 Mbit/s connection. Certification remains SKU information and does not distinguish the existing purchasing combinations.
No. Throughput also depends on exposure, decoding time, code count and quality, trigger timing and result communication. Measure the complete cycle with the intended PLC.
Include code type and size, marking method, surface, working-distance range, field of view, speed, orientation, ambient light, contamination, trigger timing, communication and reject handling.
