Reader platform
The eight platform values separate sensor resolution, housing, processing and optical architecture. Compare the selected SKU specifications; a platform name alone does not define the working range.

Smart Code Reader
Selection question
Unstable code reading causes manual rescans, stops and uncertain traceability. The result depends on code size and quality, surface reflections, movement, working distance and how the reader exchanges results with the control system.
MV-ID2000 contains several hardware platforms and optical configurations. After that first choice, select illumination, polarization, data interface, I/O isolation and any YAG filter. Resolution, focal length, lens mount, frame rate and working-distance data remain in the specification table for the selected SKU.

Codes such as 03N, 06S and 08L are exact Hikrobot model codes. Their focal length, lens mount, focus method and field of view vary by platform. Use the selected SKU table for those physical values.
Red, white and blue light interact differently with colored materials. Polarized versions can reduce direct reflections on suitable surfaces. Confirm contrast with the actual code, substrate and protective film.
The existing range includes Fast Ethernet, Fast Ethernet with RS-232 and a DC terminal, USB 2.0 with DC power, and USB 3.0. Check cable length, power delivery, protocol and PLC or PC connection together.
The isolated option identifies models with isolated I/O. Confirm input and output count, electrical levels and trigger timing in the selected SKU documentation.
The YAG-filter SKU is a specific existing model. Treat the filter as an optical compatibility decision and validate it with the marking process and illumination wavelength.
The selector keeps only the 72 combinations that exist as live SKUs. It does not generate a full matrix of platforms, optics, colors and interfaces.
Use representative codes at the limits of the process and agree the acceptance criteria before ordering the final reader.
Use measured production data. Reader specifications alone do not establish throughput or payback.

Resolution is tied to the reader platform in the existing range. Selecting a platform and optical configuration identifies a real SKU; the exact pixel dimensions remain visible in that SKU’s specifications.
It is the exact Hikrobot model code carried in the SKU. Its physical meaning is platform-dependent. Use the selected SKU’s focal length, lens mount, focus method, field of view and working-distance specifications for engineering decisions.
Test polarization when direct reflections from glossy labels, films or parts reduce code contrast. Its effect depends on surface angle and illumination geometry, so compare captured images from the real installation.
The physical connection, available protocols, power arrangement and practical cable distance change. Some Ethernet models also expose RS-232 and a DC terminal; USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 models have different power and host requirements.
No. Reading throughput also depends on exposure, decoding time, code quality, number of codes, trigger timing and result communication. Validate the complete cycle with the intended PLC or PC.
Record code type and size, substrate, marking method, working-distance range, field of view, object speed, orientation variation, ambient light, required result timing, interface, I/O levels and available power.
