Smart Camera
MV-SC1000 is a smart-camera family for standalone presence checks, measurement, counting, code reading and defect detection without a separate vision PC. Field of view, smallest relevant detail, cycle time, inspection tools and PLC interface determine the suitable model.

Which MV-SC1000 do you need?
The six variants differ in resolution, monochrome or colour and working distance. The lens, aiming system and sensor follow from the selected SC1003 or SC1008 model.
Monochrome or colour
Choose colour when a colour difference is part of the inspection. Monochrome is usually sufficient for shape, position, text and brightness differences.
SC1003 is listed in monochrome and colour. Within the current six variants, SC1008 is listed only in monochrome.
Working distance
The working distance is the distance between the camera and product for which the fixed optics are configured. Choose the variant that suits the available mounting position.
Available: 120 mm (NR) and 240 mm (SR).
Optics and aiming
The optics and aiming system are defined by the model and are not selected as a separate lens.
- SC1008: M5 mount, 4.9 mm focal length and cross laser.
- SC1003: M5.8 mount, 3.1 mm focal length and orange aiming LED.
Image capture and lighting
All six variants use a CMOS sensor with a global shutter. The entire image is captured at the same moment.
Maximum 15 fps, white LED lighting and an exposure time from 60 to 7000 μs.
Processing and machine connection
The sensor can store up to eight solutions and forty modules. Connections include Fast Ethernet, one digital input, one digital output and RS-232.
Listed protocols: Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, FTP, UDP, TCP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV.

Does the SC1000 run the inspection itself?
Yes. The sensor runs the configured solution on the device. The result is sent to the machine or PLC through the digital output or a supported protocol.
What is the difference between SC1003 and SC1008?
SC1003 uses 640 × 480 pixels, a 3.1 mm focal length and an orange aiming LED. SC1008 uses 1024 × 768 pixels, a 4.9 mm focal length and a cross laser.
What do NR and SR mean?
Within this product data, NR specifies a 120 mm working distance and SR a 240 mm working distance. Choose according to the available distance between sensor and product.
Is every variant available in colour?
No. SC1003 is listed in monochrome and colour. The SC1008 variants in this family are monochrome.
Can the SC1000 inspect moving products?
The variants use a global shutter and are listed at a maximum of 15 fps. Whether that is sufficient depends on product speed, trigger frequency, exposure time and required processing.
Can every feature be combined?
No. The six models form a fixed range. Resolution, monochrome or colour, working distance, lens and aiming system are defined for each model.
