These answers cover the 97 listed MV-CS variants. Select an existing SKU and verify its datasheet before completing the optics, cabling and timing design.
The available pixel dimensions run from 720 × 540 to 5472 × 3648. Divide the field width by the horizontal pixel count for a first millimetres-per-pixel estimate. Include a practical margin and test the smallest relevant feature with representative good and rejected samples.
Choose colour when colour contributes to the inspection decision. Mono is the direct choice for geometry, edges, position, text and brightness contrast. The near-infrared variants require illumination and optics that transmit the required wavelength; they are separate fixed models.
GigE and USB 3.0 variants use different host connections, cable arrangements and power designs. Select the interface together with cable length, available host ports, required data rate and maintenance access. Do not assume that the same resolution and colour choice exists with both interfaces.
Codes such as 10, 60, A0, V5, PRO and ADV distinguish fixed sensor and electronics configurations within the family. They are not a simple ranking. Compare the exact SKU for sensor type, pixel size, maximum frame rate, dimensions and power requirements.
The listed MV-CS models use C-mount. Lens selection still depends on sensor size, field of view, working distance and required detail. Check the mechanical drawing and calculate the focal length for the selected SKU before ordering the lens.
