Which resolution should I choose?

Available pixel dimensions run from 640 × 480 and 672 × 512 up to 3072 × 2048. Calculate millimetres per pixel from the field width and horizontal pixel count, add a practical margin and validate the smallest required feature with production samples.

When should I choose mono or colour?

Use colour when colour contributes to the pass/fail decision. Mono is normally the direct choice for geometry, edges, position, text and brightness contrast. Check the existing SKU combinations because mono and colour are not available with every resolution and interface.

What changes between GigE and USB 3.0?

GigE models use an Ethernet connection and specified variants support PoE. USB models use USB3 Vision and specified variants support power through USB. Include cable length, host ports, power distribution and required data rate in the interface decision.

What does the hardware configuration code change?

Codes such as 10, 11, 12, 20, 21 and A0 identify fixed sensor and electronics configurations. They affect specifications such as sensor, frame rate, housing and power. Treat the code as a model distinction and compare the complete datasheet rather than assuming that a higher code is faster.

What must I check for the lens and enclosure?

Can I select only on maximum frame rate?
