Engagement

Full service, integration or VAR, which fits?

Sedeco supports projects in three ways: taking responsibility for a complete cell, providing vision integration within an existing machine, or supplying components with application advice. The appropriate model depends on who handles engineering, commissioning, recipe management and maintenance.

Full service

For a new or strategic application, Sedeco can cover the concept, feasibility trial, engineering and complete delivery. Sedeco then remains responsible for the vision system through commissioning. Define the required performance, interfaces and acceptance tests before delivery starts.

Integration

With integration, the customer or machine builder remains responsible for the machine or production line. Sedeco delivers the vision system within that environment, including optics, lighting, software and control communication. Define who approves recipe changes and who investigates faults after handover.

Components with application advice

An experienced engineering team can source cameras, optics, lighting and software with application advice. This model fits when architecture, installation, software and commissioning are handled internally. A preferred product set simplifies spare parts and maintenance, while specialist applications remain subject to a separate assessment.

Choosing a suitable form of cooperation

For each project, compare responsibility for engineering, installation, software, commissioning, documentation, recipe management and maintenance. Choose full service or integration when the required knowledge or capacity is unavailable internally. Choose components with advice when the in-house team can demonstrate that it covers these tasks.
